An all-genre film and screenplay competition. While it is set to become a tavern festival in Florida, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced it to remain online-only for the time being. It plans to go live again in Fall 2023.
Siren by the Sea also offers jury scorecards to all its submissions regardless of whether or not they are selected for the festival. Prizes include custom trophies.
Penned in Blood was designed to be a competition for those who are serious about screen-writing! They accept not only short and feature-length screenplays but also other script marketing materials such as synopsis, first 10 pages, and loglines.
All submissions receive comprehensive feedback geared toward helping the writer to either improve on the work or prepare it for marketing.
The Shock Reel Cinema takes place at the Fantasm horror convention in Orlando, Florida. They accept both short and feature-length genre films.
This is a great festival if you enjoy horror in all its guises, and being part of a convention includes celebrity guests, special interest panels, an art show, and a ton of other events!
