From first-time filmmakers to productions that seem to have been cursed by the Film Gods, our popular "Give Us Your Worst" contest invites filmmakers to excavate those terrible films.
You must have a sense of humor to submit a film to this contest! Finalists will be asked to self-tape a video speech about what went wrong while producing the film and what they learned from the experience.
The winner also receives a very special trophy!
The Magic of Horror Festival will take place on Oct 24, 2026 in Hopewell, Virginia (near Richmond). Participating filmmakers are not required to attend the event, but it is strongly encouraged.
