The Magic of Horror Festival will take place on Oct 24, 2026 in Hopewell, Virginia (near Richmond). Participating artists are not required to attend the event, but it is encouraged.
Types of artwork accepted: Drawings, paintings, sculpture, multi-media, and photography.
All accepted artists will receive one free pass to the festival and have the opportunity to talk about their work to the audience. Selected artwork will also be shown in our 2026 Awards Video that premieres online at the same time as the awards ceremony at the live event.
We will also regularly promote the art on our social media long after the event is over. (Seriously, we are still promoting films we selected from 2017!)

ART SUBMISSION RULES
1. No works-in-progress will be accepted. All entries must be complete when submitted.
2. Submissions may not include pornography (nudity is okay), hate speech, or real violence and/or death toward humans or animals.
3. All entries must be original works by the submitting artist. The person submitting a project to this festival affirms that he/she has all the copyrights, model releases, and/or other legal rights pertaining to the image / photographed work and remains responsible before the law.
4. Only one image per submission. If multiple images are attached to a single submission, only the first photo will be considered. Multiple submissions by the same artist or photographer are allowed.
5. Artwork that is made completely with AI is not accepted. No more than 50% of the complete image may use AI or CGI technology. For example, a live model with a CGI background is okay while an AI-created model on a CGI background is not.
